Welcome to all VisitorsWho are we?Grace Mennonite Church consists of a wide range of people, of all ages, with many different backgrounds. Whoever you are, you are assured a warm welcome at Grace Mennonite Church in Steinbach. When to arriveIf it's your first visit, then it's probably best to turn up around 10:30am. Our Sunday School program for both children and adults begins at 9:30 AM, and the worship service at 10:30 AM. If you are coming by car, you'll be pleased to know that there is plenty of available parking. For directions please see the Map page. You'll be greeted at the door by our ushers who will give you information about the service and notices of forthcoming events. What to wearThis is easy. Wear whatever you feel comfortable in. We are an
informal church and accept people as they are. There is no need to
dress up to try and be someone that you're not. What to expectFor some people, going anywhere for the first time can be a bit of a nerve-racking experience. To help avoid any worries, here's what you can expect at Grace. First of all we aren't super-spiritual beings, we all had a 'first day' at church, you'll find we are a friendly bunch. If you don't understand something simply ask. We start our service at 10:45 am with a few minutes of anouncements keeping us informed about things happening in our Church, followed by worship (singing). Our worship time consists of modern songs (with guitars and drums)and Hyms. We then have a message from the Bible that is relevant and meaningful to our every day lives. Our aim is that whether you are just looking into Christianity for the first time or have been a Christian for many years, that you should be encouraged and inspired. We hope that everyone will draw closer to God. What we believeWe are a Christian church and believe that all can have a
relationship
with God. We believe this relationship with God is possible because
of Jesus (God's only son) who invites us to follow him. We have
cordial relationships with other local churches from both
traditional
and modern backgrounds. If you are interested in exploring your faith,
then
please join us on a Sunday.
to ask for more information. Is it just Sundays?Absolutely not! God is with us all week long and we aim to lead
lives pleasing to him. We're not perfect and we do make mistakes, but
we desire to make a positive difference in everything we do. To further
encourage us we have a "small groups" program for Adults (a small group
is simply a
meeting of maybe 10 people in someone's house). Small groups are a
great way to get to know others in the church and to be real with each
other about everyday living. For Youth, we have weekly Senior and Junor
Youth Programs that meet once a week to do a fun activity or have a
Bible study (Junor Youth meet Wednesdays from 7 PM - 8:30PM, Senior
Youth meet Thursdays from 8:30 PM - 10 PM). For those with disabilitiesWe aim to be an all inclusive church. Though our resources are
limited we try to provide for our attendees. If you wish to
discuss specific needs please . Our premises
are accessible for those with disabilites (wheel chair access). We have reserved parking
spaces near the entrance. Both the kitchen and bathroom facilities are accessible. An elevator is also in place. |
